Although we are fortunate to have his excellent legal counsel, we personally hired our civilian attorney, Joseph Casas, in an attempt to level out the playing field.  Joseph has worked hard for our case for the past year and we are grateful for his devotion to our case.  Also, two months ago, we were excited to learn that Vincent Ward, of the firm Brownstein, Hyatt, Farber, and Schreck, will work on portions of the case on a pro bono basis.  Even with this help and the fact that Joseph Casas unselfishly offered his services at a much reduced cost to Andrew and I, the burden of trying a case this big involves many unavoidable expenses.  Now that we face a General Courts Martial, those expenses will only rise.  We truly appreciate the dedication of our legal team, and we are continually humbled by the support of our fellow Americans.
